Project Independence
Independent trips for those brave enough to take the road less travelled with a group of like-minded friends.
The project independence team is made up of students from all over the country excited to take the adventure of a lifetime. Running independently of school, you’ll get all the benefits of the training, support and safety of a World Challenge experience with a ready-made team of like-minded young travellers who you’ll get to know in the build up to the trip ahead. Each year, we hand select a list of the very best destinations and have (limited) spots available for those brave young souls ready to take up the challenge. All that’s left to do is choose your destination, sign up and put the dates in your diary.
Your school trip to Slovakia awaits
Travel to Central Europe and head off the beaten track. Poland is home to the world’s largest castle, Europe’s oldest forest and the tastiest dumplings on the planet. To understand its complex history and culture, you need to step back in time – engage with the locals, discover ancient cities and explore the harrowing story of the holocaust.
Journey south and you’re in Slovakia – a little country with a big sense of adventure. There are mountains to climb, rivers to raft down, castles to explore and ancient mining towns to discover. Smother your pancakes with apricot jam, chow down on fried cheese and immerse yourself in all things Slovakian.
Remember, you’re walking the path towards true global citizenship. Tap into your inner potential, step forward to contribute and absorb everything this trip can teach you about the world and your place within it.
