Project Independence
Independent trips for those brave enough to take the road less travelled with a group of like-minded friends.
The project independence team is made up of students from all over the country excited to take the adventure of a lifetime. Running independently of school, you’ll get all the benefits of the training, support and safety of a World Challenge experience with a ready-made team of like-minded young travellers who you’ll get to know in the build up to the trip ahead. Each year, we hand select a list of the very best destinations and have (limited) spots available for those brave young souls ready to take up the challenge. All that’s left to do is choose your destination, sign up and put the dates in your diary.
Your school trip to Nepal (Everest Base Camp) awaits
Touch down in a legendary Himalayan kingdom, home to the highest point on the planet. Everything you’ve heard about Nepal is here in high definition, from ice-capped mountains and roaring rivers to golden temples and fluttering prayer flags.
Endless opportunities glimmer on the horizon, whether you’re trekking beneath mountain giants, exploring sacred cities or contributing to community-led initiatives. Learn some Nepalese, connect with the locals and stop at a street stall to taste fresh ‘momo’ dumplings. Nepal will challenge and amaze you like never before.
Remember, you’re walking the path towards true global citizenship. Tap into your inner potential, step forward to contribute and absorb everything this trip can teach you about the world and your place within it.
