The project independence team is made up of students from all over the country excited to take the adventure of a lifetime. Running independently of school, you’ll get all the benefits of the training, support and safety of a World Challenge experience with a ready-made team of like-minded young travellers who you’ll get to know in the build up to the trip ahead. Each year, we hand select a list of the very best destinations and have (limited) spots available for those brave young souls ready to take up the challenge. All that’s left to do is choose your destination, sign up and put the dates in your diary.
Your school trip to Cambodia & Thailand awaits
Pack your bags for two of the most beautiful countries in Southeast Asia. Cambodia is a land of rolling plains, forested highlands and the mighty Mekong river. Here, you’ll need to work as a team as you creep through the jungle, venture into the mountains or delve into the past to discover ancient temples and sombre reminders of the Khmer Rouge regime.
Hop west across the border and you’re in Thailand – the ultimate traveller’s paradise. Head off the tourist trail to the hill tribes of the north, or the tropical forests and paradise beaches down south. You’ll discover buzzing cities, golden Buddhas and some of the tastiest food on the planet.
Remember, you’re walking the path towards true global citizenship. Tap into your inner potential, step forward to contribute and absorb everything this trip can teach you about the world and your place within it.
