In April 2019, Sri Lanka experienced a number of devastating terrorist attacks, killing around 290 people. As a result of this tragic event, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) have advised against all but essential travel to Sri Lanka.
At present, although there have been no further attacks in Sri Lanka, the terror threat remains very high and a state of emergency night-time curfew has been put in place. World Challenge have taken the decision to not travel to Sri Lanka until we are confident that safety has been restored.
We will continue to monitor the situation and update when necessary. For more information then please go to https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/sri-lanka

"Probably the best moment of my expedition to Sri Lanka was sitting on a rock in the middle of the Knuckles Range, with the people that I had become so close with, watching the sun set over the mountains"
