Explore China

A country of contrasts, witness the thriving mega hub of Beijing pulsing in stark contrast to the stunning natural beauty of remote southern provinces. Known as the ‘Middle Kingdom’, China is home to a huge diversity of cultural treasures, be the one who seeks to experience both the modern and ancient faces of this magnetically alluring destination.

Find Tiger Leaping Gorge or head to the Tăgōng Grasslands on trails through remote and beautiful mountainous regions, peppered with snow-capped peaks, jade green lakes, sacred mountains and lush forest. Reflect on the wisdom and inner peace of Buddhism as you stay in ancient hilltop monasteries and practice your Tai Chi. Pick up the pace again to tick pandas, Terracotta Warriors and the Great Wall of China off your bucket list. You’ve got a lot to see.

Build your adventure

See the wonders of the world

Stand witness to 8,000 life size statues or stand in awe at over 13,000 miles of wall. Visit the unforgettable ancient Terracotta Warriors in Xi’an, one of the 7 Wonders of the World, stand on the Great Wall of China or wander the streets of Beijing to see the Forbidden City, home to the Ming and Qing dynasties.

Pay your respects

Take on high-altitude trails around Minya Gongga, high up in the sacred Chinese mountains. Predominantly a Tibetan area, Minya Gongga is the highest mountain in Sichuan province and fourth highest in China. Feel the chill as you gaze up at it’s glacial peak of 7,556m and find refuge visiting the 600 year old Buddhist temple at it’s base.

Meet the pandas

Fall in love with the Giant Pandas of Chengdu as these gentle giants roam at the Chengdu Research Base. There are less than 2,000 pandas left in the world – learn how this organization creates natural habitats to promote a successful breeding program and promote awareness to safeguard their future.

Hop on a bamboo raft

Glide down the Li River taking in the spectacular scenery. Peacefully float past the iconic karst formations and lush forested peaks. Arrive in the glitz and glamour of Hong Kong with its outrageous skyscrapers and take the tram up to the beautiful observation point, Victoria Peak.
