Independent trips for those brave enough to take the road less travelled with a group of like-minded friends.
The project independence team is made up of students from all over the country excited to take the adventure of a lifetime. Running independently of school, you’ll get all the benefits of the training, support and safety of a World Challenge experience with a ready-made team of like-minded young travellers who you’ll get to know in the build up to the trip ahead. Each year, we hand select a list of the very best destinations and have (limited) spots available for those brave young souls ready to take up the challenge. All that’s left to do is choose your destination, sign up and put the dates in your diary.
Your school trip to Vietnam & Cambodia awaits
Get set for a double Southeast Asian adventure to Vietnam & Cambodia! Cambodia is a land of rolling plains, forested highlands, and the mighty Mekong River. On this overseas school trip, work as a team as you creep through the jungle, venture into rugged mountains, and delve into the past to uncover mighty temples and poignant reminders of the Khmer Rouge era.
Journey east across the border to Vietnam and discover a country full of vibrant contrasts. From floating markets and lantern-lit streets to glistening rice paddies and legendary limestone islands, Vietnam is a place that invites endless exploration. Wander through cities buzzing with life, float along tranquil waterways, and engage with fascinating hill tribes in the northern highlands. The cuisine is a highlight, think fresh spring rolls, delicious stir-fries, and steaming bowls of pho noodle soup.
