Project Independence
Independent trips for those brave enough to take the road less travelled with a group of like-minded friends.
The project independence team is made up of students from all over the country excited to take the adventure of a lifetime. Running independently of school, you’ll get all the benefits of the training, support and safety of a World Challenge experience with a ready-made team of like-minded young travellers who you’ll get to know in the build up to the trip ahead. Each year, we hand select a list of the very best destinations and have (limited) spots available for those brave young souls ready to take up the challenge. All that’s left to do is choose your destination, sign up and put the dates in your diary.

Your school trip to Namibia awaits
Deep red sands, plunging canyons, and a wild, windswept coastline, Namibia is Southern Africa’s most Instagrammable destination. These jaw-dropping landscapes are home to the world’s highest dunes, the oldest desert, and ancient bushmen paintings that tell stories from thousands of years ago.
Pile into an overland vehicle and set off across the sun-baked terrain. Delve into San culture, meet tribal clans, and discover German influences that are a legacy of the colonial past, apple strudel, anyone? Keep your eyes peeled for endangered rhinos, and look skyward to spot African hawk-eagles soaring above.
This overseas school trip is more than just travel, it’s a journey into history, nature, and adventure. Get ready to stretch yourself, work as a team, and experience the stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage. Are you ready for a true school expedition?
“ Our expedition was magical, like being in a different world? it was the most phenomenal trip of my life so far?”
