The project independence team is made up of students from all over the country excited to take the adventure of a lifetime. Running independently of school, you’ll get all the benefits of the training, support and safety of a World Challenge experience with a ready-made team of like-minded young travellers who you’ll get to know in the build up to the trip ahead. Each year, we hand select a list of the very best destinations and have (limited) spots available for those brave young souls ready to take up the challenge. All that’s left to do is choose your destination, sign up and put the dates in your diary.

Small but mighty, the kingdom of eSwatini is a land of wild mountains, tribal culture, and the last reigning monarch in Africa. Immerse yourself fully in local life as you connect with vibrant communities and experience a rich cultural heritage.
Just east of eSwatini, Mozambique offers a completely different world. Here, you’ll find white sand beaches and turquoise waters, where traditional wooden dhows sail past and humpback whales swim in the deep.
