Project Independence
Independent trips for those brave enough to take the road less travelled with a group of like-minded friends.
The project independence team is made up of students from all over the country excited to take the adventure of a lifetime. Running independently of school, you’ll get all the benefits of the training, support and safety of a World Challenge experience with a ready-made team of like-minded young travellers who you’ll get to know in the build up to the trip ahead. Each year, we hand select a list of the very best destinations and have (limited) spots available for those brave young souls ready to take up the challenge. All that’s left to do is choose your destination, sign up and put the dates in your diary.

Your school trip to eSwatini & Kruger awaits
Dive into a double African adventure in eSwatini & Kruger National Park. The compact kingdom of eSwatini, tucked between South Africa and Mozambique, remains way off the tourist radar, a land of wild mountains, tribal culture, and Africa’s last reigning monarch. Immerse yourself in local life, where traditional crafts and tribal dancing are part of daily life, and explore wild landscapes that are home to some of the last unspoiled habitats in the region.
A few hours north, enter Kruger National Park, one of Africa’s most famous wildlife reserves. Roam the plains of South Africa and watch for elephants, hyenas, and lions on the hunt. Tune into the natural world as you track incredible wildlife in their natural habitat and gain a deeper understanding of conservation efforts.
This school expedition is more than just a journey, it’s a chance to experience diverse cultures, witness extraordinary wildlife, and develop teamwork and resilience. Are you ready to take on the adventure of a lifetime to eSwatini & Kruger?
“ The whole experience from start to finish was the best I've ever had. We met so many amazing people who changed our outlook on life when we arrived home.”
