Project Independence
Independent trips for those brave enough to take the road less travelled with a group of like-minded friends.
The project independence team is made up of students from all over the country excited to take the adventure of a lifetime. Running independently of school, you’ll get all the benefits of the training, support and safety of a World Challenge experience with a ready-made team of like-minded young travellers who you’ll get to know in the build up to the trip ahead. Each year, we hand select a list of the very best destinations and have (limited) spots available for those brave young souls ready to take up the challenge. All that’s left to do is choose your destination, sign up and put the dates in your diary.
Your school trip to Bali awaits
Escape to an Indonesian island where green volcanoes smoulder on the horizon, glistening rice paddies cascade down the hillsides, and lush forests are alive with cheeky monkeys. Down on the coast, waves crash and coconuts thud to the ground, while one of the world’s most important reef systems teems with marine life just offshore.
Experience the ‘other’ side of Bali, far from the tourist hotspots. Learn about the challenges of daily life, explore wildlife conservation efforts, and immerse yourself in the culture. Hear the rhythmic chanting of kecak dancers, pay your respects at one of the island’s 10,000 temples, and savour authentic nasi goreng.
