Build your adventure

Plot a gold route

With a right to roam approach throughout Norway that advocates for everyone to enjoy nature, you’ve got the run of the map. Plot your route, spot your rivers, get your boots on – it’s time to earn bragging rights and hopefully your gold Duke of Edinburgh in the Setedal Valley.

Catch dinner

Try your hand at trout fishing and see what you can add to the team’s dinner menu. The River Otra is one of the largest riverways in Southern Norway and blessed with a healthy supply of trout. If you’re under 16 no need for a license, you fish for free.

Run the River Otra

Take to the water on a two day adventure in Canadian canoes down the picturesque Otra River, wild camping as you go. The banks are home to the elusive golden eagle, beaver and elk, keep your eyes open as you kick back and go with the flow down river.

Powered by nature

The pristine Setedal Valley has earned a prestigious ‘sustainable destination’ award meaning that the local community and tourism are aligned in a common goal to preserve this beautiful corner of the world. It takes years of dedication to sustainable practices to earn this award, go see it in action for yourself.
